Here and there, on both sides of the Seine, extraordinary troublemakers invented modern art. The first of them came to France at the turn of the century: Pablo Picasso. He gathered around him the painters and poets of the time, all understanding that he was a genius for brushes, one of the greatest of history to come. His friends are called Max Jacob, Apollinaire, Gris, Vlaminck, Braque, Derain, Kahnweiler...
